A mother and son were dragged before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Thursday on allegations that one of them stole several electrical items and the other damaged a refrigerator of a woman. They are Carol Green, charged with simple larceny and David Green, charged with malicious destruction of property. The matter is set for trial on December 5. It was reported that David was involved in a relationship with the complainant, however, after they spilt up, the complainant had difficulty retrieving her items from the accused man's home. The complainant told the court that over time she attempted to remove her things, but she was denied access. She said her laptop, two cameras and her mobile phones were stolen, in addition she reported that her refrigerator was punctured several times. However, the mother and son have denied stealing or damaging the complainant's refrigerator. Instead, Carol told the court that the complainant in an effort to get back at her son, is seeking revenge. |
