The recent landmark ruling inna di Shanique Myrie case is one weh we can applaud and is a good look for the Caribbean Court of Justice as the final say-so court. Most a we did hear bout the case from when dem did deny her entry into Barbados and her allegation that she was given an improper cavity search. Many of us were quite upset about the situation especially knowing that this alleged atrocity happened at the hands of our CARICOM neighbour.

When di case try and dem bruk di pencil, dem award her some millions fi di denial of entry but say dem not taking responsibilty for the cavity search as there were some inconsistencies in the story. Mi never really expect much from this case because mi know the luck weh we Jamaicans have wid people and especially those in di neighbourhood so mi happy she at least get something. Cause when me a listen di case and a hear some a di submission dem weh dem a mek like a lie di girl a tell, mi did a wonder what the outcome would have been. I just hope that what Miss Myrie has been through no one else will have to go through cause no amount of money can restore yuh pride and yuh dignity and remove that feeling of violation and discrimination.

When mi hear how di case pan out mi haffi seh to miself yuh haffi have a good lawyer link! Cause sometimes anno who you know is who know you so that yuh can get things done and get the ball rolling!
