André Williams, STAR Writer The long-awaited trial of three Jamaicans held in connection with the murder of three other Jamaicans in New York in 2010, is expected to get under way soon, as the jury selection exercise has started. According to www.wallstreetjournal.com, jury selection is under way for three men charged in the drug-related killing of three other men inside a suburban Rochester apartment in 2010. THE WEEKEND STAR gathered that 41-year-old Aston Johnson, 43-year-old Andrew Wright and 49-year-old Richard Emanuel Anderson, are facing trial on murder charges stemming from the March 2010 slayings of three men over a dispute involving marijuana trafficking. An investigation, which was launched by US authorities, led to the suspects being caught later that month in the state of Arizona. According to prosecutors, the three men on trial are natives of Jamaica who were living in the United States illegally. All three victims, who are also from Jamaica, were found shot to death inside an apartment in the town of Greece. |
