Man remanded for body found in barrel

A man who was nabbed in connection with the discovery of a dead man in a barrel was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Charged with murder is Robert Cherrington, who is to return to court today.

The Crown alleges that on September 18 about 8 a.m., the body of Peter Brown was found in a barrel along Conrad Lane by members of the National Solid Waste Management Authority with multiple stab wounds and wrapped in a garbage bag.

It is reported that the accused man was charged following police investigations and a question and answer session.
