Linval Dixon, coach of Portmore United, says that although both teams are struggling in the league, it is a knockout competition, so the aim is to win and advance to the next stage. "Well, it is a clash between two former premier league champions. We are playing at home, so we definitely want to give our spectators something to cheer about," Dixon said yesterday. "We are low on confidence, so a win in this game could go a long way in regaining confidence. The team has been getting a lot of chances, so once we start scoring goals the confidence should be back in the team," Dixon said. Meanwhile, Harbour View's assistant coach Andrew 'Bowa' Hines says his team are looking forward to the game. "It's a do-or-die encounter, and both teams will be looking for a win after unconvincing starts in the premier league," Hines said. "We have been giving up goals, not scoring. We hope to improve in both areas," Hines said. In another quarter-final encounter, Arnett Gardens are expected to stop the fairytale run of non-premier league side Axum when the teams meet at the Anthony Spaulding Complex, starting at 5 p.m.
Today's matches 5 p.m: Arnett Gardens vs Axum at the Anthony Spaulding Complex 7 p.m: Portmore United vs Harbour View at Ferdie Neita Park Tomorrow's matches 3 p.m: Sporting Central vs Waterhouse at Juici Patties Park 7 p.m: Montego Bay United vs Tivoli Gardens at Montego Bay Sports Complex
