Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A St Catherine woman who allegedly used her shoe heel to wound her daughter after reportedly seeing her in a compromising position with her stepfather had her bail amount increased when she appeared in court yesterday. The woman's presence in court arose from an incident where she went home to find her teenage daughter in a compromising position with her stepdad. She reportedly became angry and used her shoe heel to rain blows on the complainant cutting her in the process. A report was made which resulted in her being charged. When the woman appeared the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court, her surety told the court he was unable to continue in that role. "Your Honour, she was charged with cruelty to a child. That has since changed to wounding, and I cannot continue," the surety said. Defence attorney Charles Williams made a successful bail application. He told the court that his client was not a flight-risk and was acting as a disciplinarian when the incident occurred. Bail was then granted in the sum of $80,000 with a surety. She is to reappear in court on December 3.
