Miami Heat star LeBron James. - file NASSAU, Bahamas (CMC): NBA champions Miami heat will hold their 2013 training camp in The Bahamas early next month, the team announced yesterday. The Heat, seeking their third straight NBA title, will hold pre-season training at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort from next Tuesday to Friday. The players will travel to The Bahamas on Monday and will conduct two-a-day practice sessions in the Imperial Ballroom at the Atlantis Conference Centre beginning on Tuesday. They will conclude the practice sessions and return to Miami on Friday afternoon. The Heat, in a press release, thanked Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie and Minister of Tourism Obie Wilchcombe for their assistance. This is the second time in four seasons they have held training camp outside of Miami, having also done so in 2010 at Elgin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Last fall, players attended pre-season trip training in China. |
