Court hears that ... WIFE BEATS HUBBY FOR MALE FRIENDS |

A woman who was hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on allegations that she beat her estranged husband because he was accomm-odating his male friends had her bail extended yesterday. Daeyna Lawrence, 23, of Kingston 20, is to return to court on October 1, when the matter will be mentioned as the file is incomplete. The court heard that the alleged incident took place from February, however, it is the first time that the matter is being called up in court. Allegations are that Lawrence's partner reported to the cops that during a dispute, the accused flung a cup that caused several injuries to his face. It is alleged that the accused visited the complainant to collect several pieces of documents, however, both parties started quarrelling over the male friends that the complainant was accommodating in his home. The court also heard that the accused hit the complainant several times before leaving the premises. The matter was reported to the police and Lawrence was charged. |
