Popular West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle was all smiles on Saturday evening for his birthday party hosted in New Kingston at his newly opened sports bar, Triple Century.

The event started as early as 10 p.m. and was attended by several sports personalities and recording artistes, including former World Champion athlete Yohan Blake, reggae artistes Fantan Mojah and Queen Ifrica, as well as dancehall acts Danielle D.I and Beenie Man.

Sound system 007 was juggling and they kept the vibe as cool as the air-conditioned environment by playing songs from Usher, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, T-Pain and Mariah Carey. Patrons were seen making their way to the bar areas, while others shared photo moments with the cameramen that were present.

The dancing officially started at minutes after 12 a.m. courtesy of songs from Aidona, Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man and Konshens.

Gregory Isaacs Night Nurse was a crowd favourite and had to be played at least two times in honour of the late reggae icon. Music from Richie Spice and Buju Banton also received good response during the reggae segment.

At minutes after 2 a.m., patrons were still lined up at the club door eager to get a taste of the entertainment inside.

Local airline Fly Jamaica was present at the event and gave away free airline tickets via a raffle game conducted in the VIP area.
