Escape 24/7 wins free show ... in Guinness Local Bar Competition |

Patrons enjoy the offerings at Escape 24/7 in New Kingston. - Contributed After weeks of voting and days of auditing the results, Escape 24/7, located on Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston has emerged the winner in the vote for your local bar search. Escape 24/7 is a small open-air bar that provides a laid-back hangout spot by day, and transforms into an energetic nightclub by night. With a margin of 109 votes, the nightspot, beat out B&S Sports Bar in Gregory Park and Omar's Place in Hellshire, which took second and third places, respectively. favourite bars According to Guinness brand manager, Racquel Nevins, it was an intense few weeks, as everyone made sure to vote for their favourite bars. "The response has been overwhelming, we can't thank our consumers and our outlets enough for the support. As such, we have a major event planned for the winner of the competition. We will come in and plan the entire execution," Nevins explained. On September 19, Guinness will throw a pre-Arthur Guinness Day (AGD) bar party featuring a live performance from the very talented dancehall artiste, Bugle. Arthur Guinness Day is a worldwide celebration of the founder of the famous stout. "If you miss our specials at the bars or this performance, you still have a chance to enjoy yourself courtesy of Guinness. Everytime you purchase a six pack in outlets island wide you will get a special gift of fancy glassware or tickets to the Arthur Guinness concert," Nevins explained. The Arthur Guinness concert is planned for Thursday, September 26 at the National Indoor Sports Centre and will feature Busy Signal, Aidonia, Tarrus Riley, I-Octane, Bunji Garlin and Fayann Lyons.
