Tivoli, Boys' Town clash highlight Flow Cup draw

Brian Rose, the manager of Tivoli Gardens, the defending champions of the Flow Championships League, says he expects a good game between his team and their perennial rivals Boys' Town in the second round of the competition next Wednesday.

The defending champions were drawn to play the Red Brigade during the second-round draw of the Flow Champions League that was held at the headquarters of the Jamaica Football Federation yesterday.

"We are rivals, we are neighbours. It will always be an interesting game, an exciting game. We hope we get some good crowd support and some good football from both teams," Rose said.

Bolstered by new players that have been brought in, Rose believes Tivoli will be a threat on all fronts this season.

"We've brought in Rohan Reid, Shavar Campbell from Savannah, we have also brought in Dwayne Smith who played some football in the United States Soccer League, and we hope that these players will make some difference," he said.

Rose said the Champions League will also give the team the opportunity to get sharp as they aim to recapture the Red Stripe Premier League.

Silverware

"We had a very poor season last season and we have brought in some players to strengthen the team and we're hoping to get some better results than last season and come away with some silverware this season," he said shortly after the end of the draw that will also see Harbour View take on Rivoli, Sporting Central Academy playing Black Stars and Axum playing Reggae Youth on the same day.

On Thursday, September 19, Montego Bay United will play Holland United, Portmore United take on Barbican, Waterhouse welcome Port Morant United and Arnett Gardens will tackle Humble Lion on the second day of matches in the second round.
