A man who is accused of breaking into a car and stealing cash and items such as socks, was remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Kingston resident Dwayne Anderson pleaded not guilty to larceny from the motor vehicle. According to reports, the complainants parked their motor vehicle in downtown, Kingston, and returned to see the accused in their car. Checks revealed that their valuables were missing. It was reported that the accused stole two handbags one of which is valued at $3,000, six pairs of socks, NCB bank card, an umbrella valuing $250, a make-up kit and $4,000 cash. Anderson however denied the allegation saying, "I wasn't in the car. I was outside standing! They didn't find me in the car! Police just see me and pick me up!" He returns to court on September 18 for trial. |
