Chad Bryan, Star Writer A male teacher is now in hospital nursing gunshot wounds, after he was shot twice while at a bar in Port Maria, St Mary, on Thursday night. Cleon Gordon, a teacher at the Free Hill Primary School, who is believed to be in his early 30's, was at a bar with two female companions, when one of them allegedly brandished a firearm and shot him twice. It is believed that the women relieved the teacher of his Toyota RAV 4 motor vehicle, which was later discovered at a housing scheme in Islington. Gordon was subsequently rushed to hospital where he was admitted. Principal of Free Hill Primary Martin Murphy explained that, "he [the teacher] has made improvements. He is talking and the life threatening part is moving away from him. The reports we have are kind of sketchy at the moment." A motive for the shooting has not been established and the police have launched a search for the women. |
