The St Catherine South police are still continuing their investigations into the shooting death of a 27-year-old woman of Caymanas Gardens, Portmore, on Tuesday.

Dead is Suroya Bromfield.

Up to late yesterday, the police said they were still following several leads into the murder and are hoping for an early breakthrough.

According to the police, Bromfield was shot outside her home by unknown assailants about 8:20 p.m. It is reported that she was outside her home when explosions were heard. The police were alerted and relatives found her body with gunshot wounds.

She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
