Prophet Dr O'Meal O. Reid - An arrow in the hands of God

Prophet Dr O'Meal Reid - George Henry

GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer

The Bible tells us that God will never withhold anything good from His people as long as they humble themselves, serve Him in spirit and in truth, remain faithful and loyal, and live by His word.

It is also said that an arrow can only be shot by pulling it backwards. It is also encouraging to know that when the enemy tries to pull you back, what you need to do is just remember that you are an arrow in the hands of God, destined to be launched into something great.

Well, that is what Prophet Dr O'Meal O. Reid was doing before he was a teenager and continues to do throughout his life, though he is a very young man.

This became significant for the 29-year-old Reid, who we learnt of in previous interviews with THE STAR.

Reid and his mother, who God supernaturally brought back to life after being chopped more than 60 times while she was nine months pregnant with him, can testify about what it's like to be pulled backwards. His childhood education was neglected and he was unable to attend school until he was 12 years old.

He later migrated to the United States of America and then was further told that college was not for him. However, he now testifies that he is celebrating his calling, while proving his detractors and enemies wrong by graduating recently with his Doctorate of Divinity from St Thomas Christian University in the USA and furthering his education at Faith Christian University to walk away with a second doctoral degree in theology.

"I am humbled and honoured and excited to know that it is our life, and if we don't like what the enemy births in our life, we can change it. As long as you have a pregnant imagination, there is no limitation to your acceleration," shared Reid.

The church leader wants other young men and women to know that despite what the enemy does to prevent them from succeeding, they can achieve success.

"Yes, the enemy is going to fight, but at the end of the day, we will always win when our posture is in God," said Reid.

The Jamaican-born American citizen continues to change lives and calls people to God through his congregation at the People from Every Nation Ministries, based in Kissimmee, Florida, and O'Meal Reid Ministries International, which is based in the United States.

This energetic man of God has not stopped springing surprises. Apart from his two doctoral degrees, this church leader has also achieved other milestones. He recently released his first gospel praise and worship album entitled Majestic, which comprises some of the greatest gospel hits written by him. He will also be releasing a second gospel album on September 20. This album is entitled No Demon Can Stand Prophetic Prayer Worship.

As if God was not finished with him and his successes, Reid was nominated on August 20, 2013, to receive the 2013 Black Essence Award for his Prophetic Ministry to the Nations and for developing into an outstanding gospel recording artist.

Reid, who has been presented with every reason not to be standing in the body of Christ, has as his motto, "Never allow the circumstances of life to dictate your actions in God, standing for all nations, one language and no impossibilities, serving the Kingdom of God, reaching souls". He is the author of the books Good News Report and Why did it happen to me.

The church leader wants all to know that his ministry is a spiritual hospital for those who want change in their lives and those who are finding out that they cannot change themselves. He is convinced that only Christ can change mankind.

He is convinced that darkness must come out of man for man to get into the marvellous light of the Lord Jesus Christ. Reid's favourite Bible verse is Psalm 34 verse 11.
