Low turnout for 'Behind the Screen'

... as Liquid, Bambino try their hands at deejaying

Last Tuesday's Behind The Screen performance was a bit different from the usual.

It was, by far, less entertaining - to say the least.

For the first time, two disc jocks, DJ Liquid and Bambino, had the stage at Tracks and Records.

The two, who from time to time don the hat of recording artiste, should have probably remained behind the turntables on the night.

For a show that was advertised to begin at 10 p.m., action didn't get under way until midnight when Tifa introduced Bambino's alter ego Trevor Off Key to a handful of patrons.

Fake Jeans Admit It, Erasable (To The Right), Butter On Your Bread, Miss My Cooking, and Clappers were among the songs he delivered.

At times, he tried to interact with the audience but there wasn't much of an audience to interact with.

His performance was marred by the musical instruments played by the band which overshadowed his voice, making it hard to hear him at times.

It was then ZJ Elektra's turn to introduce Liquid to the stage.

Cheers from a few ladies welcomed him to the stage. Perhaps they were anticipating his popular songs, but he wasn't much better than the previous performer.

His well-known Wifey Walk Out and Walk and Wine didn't do much to help his performance.

He had similar hiccups to Bambino's.

Patexx and Assassin also made brief appearances onstage in the closing moments before the curtains came down.
