Heineken Inspire final casting today

After weeks of preparation and two castings in Montego Bay and Savanna-la-Mar, the Heineken Inspire competition will host its final casting today (Saturday, September 14) at the Triple Century Bar (formerly Asylum) New Kingston.

Last year, the premium beer brand introduced the competition as an avenue through which talents in music, film, art and fashion could be unearthed and highlighted.

Final audition

"Heineken has been receiving great support from each casting so far. Now we are bringing it back to the city for the final audition and we are excited about that," said Nasha Douglas, Heineken brand manager.

Renowned designers Carlton Brown and Minka will be the judges present at the Kingston leg of the casting. The designers will be on panel along with Heineken's Nasha Douglas and Imru James. The stylish foursome is definitely the right mix for the challenge of choosing the top picks from the lot.

"We encourage all those who are talented in music, film, art and, fashion to prepare their pieces for our celebrity-judge panel. There is more than a million dollars in cash and prizes to be won," Douglas encourages.

In order to be a contestant, you need to develop a clear, detailed example of your concept which Heineken will bring to life. Second, the contestant must attend a casting and show off that piece.

Five entries will be chosen from each category to enter the Heineken incubator. Each contestant will then be given $25,000 and will have the guidance of a mentor to lead them in the right direction in creating their masterpiece to be presented at the grand finale.

The winner will then be selected by guests and the panel of judges, the entry with the most votes will then be declared winner and will receive $250,000 in cash plus other prizes.
