The pair, who left Jamaica as part of their respective training groups shortly after the National Championships in June, with Bolt spending much of the summer at the Racers Track Club London base and Fraser-Pryce a part of the MVP Track Club group based in Italy.

Bolt, who lost only once this season - a 100m defeat to Justin Gatlin at the Diamond League in Rome, had his way at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, winning gold medals in the 100m, 200m and as a member of Jamaica's 4x100m relay team.

impressive season

Fraser-Pryce was also dominant, turning in what was the most impressive season by a Jamaican woman in history; like Bolt, also winning three gold medals in Moscow (100m, 200m, 4x100m) and topping the cash-rich 100m and 200m Diamond League series.

She also ended the year as the fastest woman in the 100m and 200m, with season best times of 10.71 and 22.13 seconds respectively.

Both athletes are expected to return to training ahead of the next season in about six weeks.
