Waterford whipped brother team Rising Suns 250-188 in the Colin Fagan-sponsored South East St Catherine Constituency Domino League Competition opening round last Sunday. - Anthony Minott photos Last year's runner-up, Waterford United, taught brother team Rising Sun a lesson in dominoes as they trounced the visitors 250-188 in a lopsided match in the Colin Fagan-sponsored South East St Catherine Constituency Domino League match at Gem's Bar, Waterford Parkway, last Sunday. There was a lot of hype surrounding this game as the Rising Sun outfit had sent out a warning that they would be a force to be reckoned with this season. However, Waterford, with an impressive 129-98 half-time lead, didn't look back and won handsomely. In other games, reigning champs Passagefort United were shocked 250-238 by Westchester Rudiz; Ken's Wildflower beat Cumberland 250-228; Portsmouth United outlasted Garveymeade 250-245; and Portmore Tigers defeated Westchester United 250-204. The competition continues tomorrow five games. |
