One man has been taken into custody following the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition in an area off Red Hills Road, St Andrew known as 'Gully Bank', on Thursday.

However, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.

The Constant Spring police said that between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., a team of officers was on operation in the area when a 9mm Carandai pistol loaded with a magazine containing nine 9mm rounds was found.
