Gevano confident about his future in music

Reggae/Dancehall artiste Gevano is confident he will soon find the success that he has long yearned for in music.

The talented singjay, signed to JDK Records, has been making good strides since he inked a contract with the Canadian company earlier this year.

"I am an optimist. I always think positive in life and I am sure that as long as I continue to work hard I will become a star. I have a good team working with me and I am always writing and recording good songs."

Gevano recently released new singles that are enjoying good rotation on a number of radio stations including IRIE FM and HITZ 92 FM - Friend Pon Face, produced by Bobby Crisas, Party Straight, on the 20/20 Vision label, and Stress & Mawga Dung, on the Reggae Shock label.

"I recently released some new songs and the response to them has been very good. The disc jocks are giving me a lot of support and people are telling me they love them. My team is working hard with me to promote these singles. We are working overtime on this," he said.

Gevano is also getting good response for his thought-provoking anti-violence single and video, Caa Believe.

"Caa Believe is a song I did earlier this year for the B Crisas label, it's a reality tune. It has a positive message and a lot of people like it. It's also getting a lot of play in Jamaica, Canada and Europe."

Gevano is busy in the studios working on his debut album with popular Canadian reggae producer Bobby Crisas of B Crisas Records.
