He stop suporting his child because of another woman |

Dear Pastor, I am 27 and attending evening classes to get more subjects. I have a seven-year-old daughter. She is the only child for her father and I. Her father used to make sure she was supported financially. Since he started talking to this other woman, he has changed. I am not working because I am trying to get myself subjects so I can get a good job to provide for my daughter. This man is a bus operator and owns the bus. He will not even take his daughter to school, which is only a few minutes drive from where we are living. He does not want to pay the taxi driver to take the child to and from school. What should I do? Unknown Dear Unknown, You believe this man has stopped supporting his child because he is having an intimate relationship with another woman. If that is the reason, he is being silly. You can't stop him from having a relationship with another woman. He has an obligation to support his child. He doesn't have an obligation to support his girlfriend. I am not here implying that a man must not give his girlfriend money if she is in need and he can afford to do so. What I am trying to say is the needs of his child are paramount. You should inform this man that if he does not resume supporting his child, you will take him to court. Don't just say it, mean it. Pastor
