Five firearms, ammo seized downtown

Police from the Kingston Central Police Division seized five firearms and several rounds of ammunition in downtown Kingston yesterday.

According to reports from the Kingston Central police, at about 6 a.m., lawmen were on operations in the Luke Lane area of the division, during which premises were searched and the weapons found. The seized firearms included:

Two .45 semi-automatic pistols, one loaded with four .45 rounds

One .44 Magnum revolver

One shotgun

An AK-47 rifle

Fifteen 7.62 rounds

One 5.56 round

One .40 round

One man was arrested in connection with the seizure. Investigations are ongoing, the police said.
