Fergie is reportedly in hospital preparing to give birth to her son via C-section.

The Black Eyed Peas star - who is expecting the imminent arrival of her first son with Josh Duhamel - has checked into a Los Angeles medical facility for the pre-planned procedure.

According to gossip site TMZ, Fergie is moments away from giving birth via Caesarean section and her husband is said to be by her side helping prepare her for the surgery.

Once Fergie has given birth, she will apparently recuperate in one of the VIP suites used by the likes of Kim Kardashian.

Reports claim Josh appeared relaxed when he was spotted talking to hospital staff wile his wife got ready for the arrival of their first child.

Although the star may be calm now, he has admitted in the past that he is "terrified" at the prospect of becoming a father.

He previously said: "I got to tell you, I'm a little bit nervous. I thought I was going to be good. I thought I was ready for this and I'm a little bit terrified.

"I'm excited and terrified because I'm responsible for this little thing forever. I just got that."
