A mention date of September 17 was set in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday after an incident involving a man and woman resulted in the female complainant having to seek medical attention.

Charged with malicious destruction of property and assault occasioning bodily harm are Shelly-Ann Campbell and Denzil Stewart.

The court heard that on the day of the incident, Stewart, who is the father of the complainant's child, and the complainant had been involved in an altercation, resulting in him allegedly punching her in the face.

It is further alleged that both Campbell and Stewart hurled stones at the complainant's white motor vehicle, resulting in damage to a section of the car.

Since the medical certificate had been outstanding, the parties were ordered to return to court on September 17.
