|||||
![]() A mention date of September 18 was set in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, following a matter involving a man who punched a complainant, after accusing him of 'mashing up' a dance. Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is 19-year-old Chavorn Green. The court heard from the accused that, on the day of the incident, he was at a dance with a female when he and the promoter of the event were involved in an altercation. He denied he had an argument with complainant, saying he never touched him. The accused man told Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey that the complainant was 'mashing up' the dance. The epileptic complainant, on the other hand, gave a different account of the incident. He told the Senior RM that while he was at the dance, the accused, along with his friends, set upon him and, as a result, his teeth were punched out. Eventually the complainant pleaded guilty to assaulting the man. The complainant was then ordered to find out the cost of fixing his teeth. Both parties are expected to return to court on September 19. |
