Transport Authority issues warning to operators |

|
Public passenger vehicle operators are being warned by the Transport Authority to refrain from charging the increased fares to commuters until this Sunday. The authority issued the warning following reports from the public that operators are already demanding the new fares and in other instances are demanding adult fares from children over three years old. monitoring trend According to the Transport Authority, its route inspectors will be monitoring this trend, and the offending operators will be prosecuted. An increase in fares was announced by Omar Davies, transport minister, for the public transport sector, however, it will not come into effect until this Sunday. |
