ROADBLOCK gears up for fifth staging today |

Having staged their event four times over the course of two years, the Team Roadblock Entertainment Group is now gearing up for the fifth staging of their staple event ROADBLOCK. Slated for today, this twice a year event has certainly become one of the 'must attend' phenomenal calendar events. ROADBLOCK was first staged in August 2011 and the tremendous success of the inaugural staging led to a second staging in December of the same year. Although the general election of 2011 was held around the same time frame, the event still prevailed and boasted a respectable turnout of an estimated 700 people. Over the years, Team Roadblock has always managed to create what one would describe as a "melting pot" in a dance setting. This event, which is a hardcore dancehall event, manages to bridge the gap between the different demographics on the social entertainment scale in Jamaica. With its ever stellar line-up of Jamaica's finest sound system operators, one cannot go wrong. From the likes of Tony Matterhorn, Richie Feelings, Chris Dymond and Razz & Biggy, this event continues to grow from strength to strength and this one shall be no different. ROADBLOCK: Dance Cya Shot If Bottles Nah Pop will be headlined by Flabba alongside Little Shabba with his Japanese side kick Bad Gal Marie, 007's DJ Kitt and Duhaney Parks' very own DJ Banka (Kingston 20's finest) and DJ Sihran. The exclusive branding rights of this event goes to the top liqueur and liquor brands in Jamaica, namely CPJ, SKy Vodka and Magnum. ROADBLOCK will be held at the Brooke Valley Community Park in Duhaney Park. |
