Trelawny Fiesta set for Warsop this Sunday

File - Charly Black

The world immortal soundsystem Stone Love will be the main source of entertainment as Charly Black's annual Trelawny Fiesta dance takes centre stage in Warsop, Trelawny, on Sunday.

The event, which takes place inside the Zebra Force Lawn, is now in its second staging and from all indications, many patrons are eager to eclipse last year's frolics.

Other performances will come from one of Mandeville's top selector DJ Sherlock, and popular hometown sound system Killa Face. Admission stands at a meagre $100 before 11 p.m. and $300 after.

However, there will not be an artiste performance segment compared to last year but the experienced dancehall star strongly believes it will count for little on the day of the event.

"Trelawny people are great people to party with. Whether or not there is an artiste performance, the vibe will be the same, they don't let anything deter their partying spirit," he said.

He alluded to last year when, just hours prior to the start of the show, heavy rains threatened to spoil the party. However, just minutes after easing up, a large number of patrons gathered inside the venue soaking up impressive performances from the likes of Twin of Twins, D'Angel, Stacious and himself.

"Last year was very special because the rain looked as if it was going to force me to postpone the event. Luckily, Trelawny people thought otherwise, and still turned out in their numbers, to which I am very grateful," he said.
