Large turnout expected for Sipping

Bob Damage

Popular promoter Bob Damage is expecting a large turnout and great vibes when he plays host to his annual event Sipping, which takes place tomorrow.

The young but vastly experienced promoter, real name Fabian Gaynor, is very upbeat about repeating, if not better last year's episode, when activities get under way inside Omega Lawn at 28 Ghandi Road, Waterhouse, Kingston 11.

The Smirnoff-sponsored event, now in its sixth year, has become a wholesale name within certain dancehall circles, and many have made it a must-go event on the party calendars.

Quality music is expected from the likes of Swatch International, the increasingly-popular Ricky Famous and Kirky Medz, with giveaways at regular intervals.

"Each year, the event gets bigger and better and we aim to continue on that trend," he said.

With Smirnoff on board, the promoter, who also hails from Waterhouse, said he has found a most-valuable corporate partner, a statement which was echoed by the beverage's brand manager Jermaine Bibbons.

"We were impressed with their proposal and saw it fitting to be a part of this venture," Bibbons said.

There will also be special guest artistes passing through with the event starting at 10 p.m. sharp.
