Miss Boss too good for Kimone Chicken Back

Judges, from left, Kalado, LA Lewis, and Kool Face.

The Magnum Girls

Kimone Chicken Back was no match for favourite, Miss Boss, in the Magnum Container Female Promoters Clash last Saturday night at the Gee Wee Parking Lot, 1A Caledonia Avenue, Cross Roads, St Andrew.

With confidence and stage performance and a slew of dubplates from the likes of Mad Cobra and Sizzla, Miss Boss ran over her opponent with immense ease. The clash was dubbed: 'The Battle of Portmore' and Miss Boss took that title. She will now turn her attention to the grand final against Ming Khaotic, who went through to the final as her semi-final opponent Sheena Famous was unavoidably absent. The final is set for Saturday, August 31, during the Magnum Container Satdazs Anniversary party.

There were glimpses of star qualityfor the lanky Miss Boss, who came out in a cowboy suit, as if she was a two-gun-touting Billy the Kid. Kimone Chicken Back came out in white, dressed as a boxer. But Miss Boss didn't throw punches, her lyrics and intros spat like bullets from a 44 Magnum, and Kimone couldn't recover from the onslaught. It seemed nerves took over Kimone and, at times, her words seemed muffled or she was shouting and Miss Boss went in for the kill.

Miss Boss brought laughter to the proceedings as she mimicked Chicken Back making sounds like a 'happy go lucky' fowl.

Kimone tried to counter using some styles from Miss Boss. At one point she went up the lighting fixture to get a forward but it didn't really work. MC Boasy Boy Floyd beckoned her to come down due to safety reasons and she complied.

The judges for the contest - DJ Kalado, LA Lewis, and Kool Face - all gave Miss Boss the win.
