There was some drama in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, after a woman who is at the centre of an assault case fainted at the door of the courtroom.

The incident occurred after the presiding resident magistrate sent for her to get a reason as to why her husband and a man had become involved in a fight allegedly over her.

"Where is the lady that you were fighting over? If she is outside, kindly get her," RM Marcia Dunbar-Green said.

The woman was called, and upon reaching the door, she fell and started sweating profusely. Both accused were observed placing the female in the recovery position.

"This one is special as the two men look like dem really love her," a female related to her friend.

Allegations are that the woman's husband was beating her when the second accused reportedly intervened.

"Yu can't beat up mi oman dem way deh," the other man is alleged to have said.

A fight reportedly started between both men, which resulted in bruises and swellings.

A report was made to the police and both men were charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

The case will again be mentioned on Tuesday.
