A 16-year-old boy is facing a murder charge following the stabbing death of a man in the quiet community of Cemetery Lane in Port Antonio, Portland, yesterday. The incident took place shortly before 9 a.m. The dead man was identified as 34-year-old car wash operator Garth Foreman. According to the Port Antonio police, on Tuesday, Foreman was reportedly involved in an argument with someone, but family members and neighbors intervened and the dispute was laid to rest. However, the lawmen claim that another argument started again yesterday. During this argument, Foreman was chased and stabbed all over his body, despite pleas and shouts from residents for his attacker to stop. Foreman was rushed to the Port Antonio Hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after. The police, who were quick on the scene, apprehended the suspect, who was also taken to hospital, as he too was suffering from cuts and bruises. Foreman is survived by two children. It is the fifth murder in the parish since the start of 2013. The Portland police are investigating. |
