Dancehall star Macka Diamond has the hottest single in Jamaica as her 'Dye Dye' has hit the number-one position on three charts in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

The single soared to the #1 spot on the ER dancehall top ten charts and the Wave Top 20 Caribbean Countdown, and has held the top spot on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts for the last three weeks. The single is also in the top-five of the Jamaica Music Countdown charts, the Stampede Street charts, and the BBC 1 Xtra dancehall charts.

"Dye Dye is perhaps my biggest hit to date because it has gone to #1 in the Caribbean, in Jamaica and ethnic charts in Canada and the USA. Right now, my management is talking to music labels who want to get behind the single to push it in the USA, so we can get that mainstream play on the top radio stations over there and get on the Billboard charts," she said.

In the meantime, she is pushing her latest single, Twist Me, which is now bubbling on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts. The video for the single was released last week.

She is also turning up the heat on her fellow deejays. Last week, an unapologetic Macka Diamond launched a scathing verbal attack against fellow rival Lady Saw at Manchester Fiesta on July 31, a fiery performancethat ignited the audience and had tongues wagging on social media.

She hit the stage singing Hula Hoop, gyrating her body to the music and the crowd immediately responded with a loud cheer. Then she did her number one hit, Done Already, before doing Too Much Bull and Forty And Fabulous. She deejayed a verse explaining How Fi Gi Bun and then segued into her monster hit, Bun Him. The crowd roared in delight. She then did her most recent single, Twist Me.

She then declared that "mi head tun upside down right now". And she took the opportunity to perform a new song a cappella. Using the melody of Chronixx's Odd Ras she deejayed a diss verse directed at Lady Saw. With the crowd in an expectant hush, Macka Diamond deejayed : 'she a talk bout rich rich wat/ how she fi rich n she cyaan pay har tax/how she rich n Humma deh pon block/ ano my fault government auction dat! Trouble me a Sumfest now a my time fi chat/ di heels pop off dye dye replace dat! John John left u n u a tun ediat/ go buy allum cause him naah cum back!'

Macka Diamond heads to Trinidad for a series of shows beginning this weekend.
