|
Businessman Corey Todd appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last week after being charged with assault. Todd was among three persons charged in a case and cross case in relation to an incident outside a nightclub recently. Todd, Sashanna Miller and Anthony Pinnock, are all charged with assault occasioning bodily harm. Another woman being sought in connection with the incident is yet to be apprehended by the police, the court was told. The court heard that on the day of the incident, in the wee hours of the morning, Pinnock and Miller, his girlfriend, were at a nightclub in the Corporate Area. An altercation developed between a female and Miller in the club's restroom. Miller subsequently left the club and went outside. She was barred from re-entering by security personnel, and when Pinnock went to find her, he was shoved out of the club. While outside, Pinnock alleged that Todd assaulted him in full view of the security personnel who did nothing. Pinnock's attorney Philmore Scott said in court that Todd allegedly threw his client against a car several times. However, Todd's attorney Everton Dewar said it was Pinnock who assaulted Todd. All three were ordered fingerprinted and are to return to court on September 30. |
