Fashion and Floss party a hit

All the pre hype and the definitive assurance of non-stop entertainment from promoter Young Blood were successfully lived up to as the annual Fashion and Floss party ended as a huge success inside Club Afrodiziac.

The Portmore, St Catherine-based club was the home for a number of statements in fashion, musical selections, and high octane energy, all of which are key ingredients in any party settings.

Though the event got started rather late, much of the time lost was quickly accounted for when the increasingly popular Bumpy Cash took control at the turntables and immediately exerted his presence.

The selector was tasked with entertaining an early audience and was equal to the challenge. Keisha Cole's Don't Bring Me Roses, Miguel's Adorn You and Rihana's Diamond, struck a positive note with the sometimes raunchy-looking female gathering.

As suggested by the event's name, patrons were dared to bring their A-game in both their fashion and spending ability. The former was splendidly achieved with many trying their heart's best to outdo the other with the latter.

For their own egos, Mavado's Million Dollar Man, Box A Money, Vybz Kartel's British Money and Buju Banton's Top A Top remix, proved timely and enticed many in an extravagant money-pull up countersegment.

Champagne bottles began to pop and Young Blood friends, who included Chicken & Tings boss Damion, sprayed him joyously - a trend growing in the dancehall circles.

The ladies were nt to be outdone. Bumpy Cash's set was well received and it paved the way for Portmore's Rhyme Up who carved out a frantic segment with the women.

Kalado's Make Me Feel, QQ's One Drop, Aidonia's Fi Di Jockey, Vybz Kartel's Ever Bless, and RDX's Kotch, gave the women something to sexually rant about.

In the end, a speechless Young Blood sought to thank the crowd for its support and again promised an even better third edition. "Big up to all who came and supported, I really appreciate it. People, unuh can look forward to a bigger event next year," he said.

Fashion and Floss was sponsored by Chicken & Tings.
