Entertainment specialist Sean 'Contractor' Edwards is still reeling with excitement after performing and hosting one of the biggest reggae parties in the world in Ibiza, Spain, recently.

The event, Global Reggae Bar, racks up an annual audience of four million people in the popular Spanish city, which is known to most as the party capital of the world.

The event took place last Friday at one of the city's main beaches, with reggae party fans from all over the world, including Romania, Switzerland, England, and Africa.

Contractor, who also does marketing for Downsound Records, used the occasion to promote new material from the label's flagship artistes Ninja Man, Ishawna, Nature, and Specialist.

The multi-talented Contractor played the dual role of MC and performer to hundreds of patrons on the beach. He also performed his singles Break My Promise, Babylon Be Still, and All I Need.

His performance was backed by the Dread Squad sound system from Poland. Post-performance activities saw Contractor engaging in a meet-and-greet photo session with many adoring fans.

He was also approached by Earl from the Mighty Trojan sound system as well as several Spanish radio disc jocks for dub plates, show performers, and interviews.

The experience, according to Contractor, was something to savour. "I had a tremendous amount of fun. Reggae music is one of the most sought-after music worldwide, and it was proven at the Global Reggae Bar event. The people really loved what was offered to them. I am truly humbled," he said.
