A man who used a bottle to hit a woman in the head after they were involved in an altercation was remanded until August 5 when he appeared in The Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. Charged with unlawful wounding is Devon Wheatle. The court heard that on the day of the incident, a woman, who was trying to pass Wheatle to access another section of the house, asked him to remove his feet from her path but he refused. When she attempted to move his feet, an altercation developed which resulted in him using a bottle to rain down several blows upon the woman, resulting in a wound to her head. Wheatle was subsequently remanded until early August. |
