Andre Williams, STAR Writer The St Andrew South police yesterday confirmed the death of yet another suspect who had been fingered in June's fatal shooting of four men in Seaview Gardens. The main suspect Davion 'Diamond' Gordon was killed during a reported confrontation with police on Orange Street a few days after on June 11. The man was reportedly killed on Tuesday. THE STAR understands that in the latter incident, the lawmen were once again involved in an alleged fatal shoot-out. The deceased has since only been identified by his alias, 'Bubba'. Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that police personnel were conducting an operation in the vicinity of Spanish Town and Waltham Park roads when they received information that a wanted man was at a dance in the area. THE STAR gathered that the police went to the location and attempted to get a hold of "Bubba" when he reportedly brandished a firearm and opened fire at them. Since the shooting, residents of the area have taken to the streets, refuting claims that the dead man was killed in a shoot-out. It was not clear if the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched an investigation. On June 7, four men were gunned down as they played cards on White Sea Drive in Seaview Gardens. Those killed are 28-year-old Ricardo Lawes, 28-year-old Dwight Robinson, 32-year-old Omar Smith and 33-year-old Jenoure Gooden. Reports are that all four men lived in Seaview Gardens, Phase 2. |
