The 53-year-old music mogul is having a child with his friend Andrew Silverman's estranged wife, New York socialite Lauren Silverman, who is 10 weeks pregnant, and Kelly, who co-stars with Simon on 'X Factor' USA is thrilled for him.

She told E! News: "I think Simon will be a wonderful father. It's not my news to share, but I do know about Simon and his character. He's going to be a great dad.

"I think that he is always respectful. Always classy. And I think that he will be like that as a father. He will be a classic father figure."

Fellow judge Paulina Rubio added: "I believe he is very much like a leader, so I believe because of that he will be a very good father."

While 'X Factor' USA's Demi Lovato is happy for Simon, the 20-year-old singer insists she doesn't have any advice for him because he is so much older than she is.

Demi said: "I don't have any advice to give to someone who has lived like a hundred more years than I have.

"I mean, I might be off by a few, so maybe 110. But I have a lot of fun with him and he's a great guy. He'll be good."
