![]() The world's fastest man, Usain Bolt, insists he is definitely over the now infamous false start that prevented him from defending his 100m title at the 2011 Daegu World Championships. Bolt's teammate, Yohan Blake, claimed the title in South Korea after Bolt launched out of the blocks too early, much to the chagrin of the track and field world. Though admitting to being disappointed initially, the sprinter says the event no longer weighs on his mind. "I don't think about it any more," Bolt told UK publication The Gaurdian. few blemishes The six-time Olympic Champion, how-ever, still believes that he would have won the event over Racers teammate, Blake, who had also been in top form heading into the event. The loss remains one of the few blemishes for the sprinter during his career. "At the time, it was very disappointing because I was in great shape and knew that if I had started and run well, I would have got a gold medal. But that's behind me now. I learned from it and moved on," he added. Bolt will look to reclaim the 100m title in Moscow later this month and also retain the 200m title. He is also heavily favoured to do so, with injuries to Blake and American champion Tyson Gay, the fastest man over 100m this year, having tested positive for a performance enhancing substance. Despite his status as favourite, however, the sprinter also has his mind set on challenging the 200m world record. Bolt currently holds the record of 19.19, set in the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. "The 200m world record would be the one I'd really love to break again to see if it's maybe even possible to get it under 19 seconds. That would be something special," he said. "There's still a lot more to come from me. My objective is to continue to win gold medals in my sport all the way up to the 2016 Olympics." |
