Dancehall stalwart Charly Black has continued in his rich vein of form in music with the release of another hit song titled Happiness, on Hapilos Entertainment's Block Party rhythm.

The deejay, real name Desmond Mendize, has recorded and released a plethora of quality songs over the past year and, as such, garnered a lot of public attention during the process. He has also been away on several overseas engagements, mainly in Europe and the Caribbean, promoting new singles as well as performing inside sold-out clubs.

Charly Black has said he is very happy with the progression of his career and will continue working hard at improving.

"I honestly can't complain with events pertaining to my career. I am extremely pleased because I have been working hard and it is good to know that the hard work is being recognised," said a humble Charly Black.

Prior to Happiness the deejay, who regularly endorses his home parish of Trelawny, first released Unstoppable and the track, produced by Gachapan Records, immediately connected with the public as it proved to be a timely inspiration for struggling individuals.

He then followed suit with WeNah Beg and Loyalty, two highly successful songs produced by Seanizzle Records. There was a video for the latter, which was directed by Cashflow Records' Xtreme Art.

The deejay, who started his career in music playing as a selector on the popular Bass Odessesy sound system, showed his versatility with the releases of the sexually inductive songs First Time and Gold, produced by Jah Wayne Records.

A music video for First Time was shot recently in St Lucia. Again, it was directed by Xtreme Art.

A collab with J Capri titled Wine and Kotch, which was produced by Head Concussion Records, vetted his status as a deejay for the ladies and significantly enhanced J Capri as one of the fast-rising female singjays within dancehall.

Agony, another raunchy studio effort produced this time by Birch Hill Records, has gathered great speed since its release and is now an anthem for street selectors playing in the wee hours of morning sessions.
