It was pandemonium outside the main judges' tent at the Tastee Talent Trail Ocho Rios audition, at Island Village, St Ann last year as antoniel McGregor, Vybz Kartel lookalike, made his way to the final judging tent.

When he stepped into the final judges' tent, in true Jamaican parlance, he was the 'dead stamp' of dancehall super star Vybz Kartel. What he lacked in natural talent, he more than made up for in his uncanny appearance and mannerism of the incarcerated 'Worl' Boss'. Sadly however, he did not make it through.

Fast forward to July 2013 and 'Little Addi' as he is known, made his most important stage appearance to date when he was called on stage by top flight female deejay Spice to accompany her on the chart-topping single Rompin' Shop, which she had done in tandem with Vybz Kartel.

Much as he did to those in attendance at the Ocho Rios audition last year, when Little Addi stepped on the stage last Thursday at Catherine Hall on Reggae Sumfest Dancehall night, the thousands in attendance were in awe as it appeared as if Vybz Kartel had received a special pass from jail to perform with Spice.

Little Addi more than held his own on centre stage during the performance of the hit song as the photograph carried in Saturday's Gleaner showed him in Kartel-like manner working the stage with Spice, while she was backing it up during her delivery of the song.

In paying tribute to the Tastee Talent Trail, Little Addi had this to say: "I just have to say to the world that if it wasn't for the Tastee Talent Trail competition who first put me on centre stage and published my photos on the Internet, I wouldn't be on Reggae Sumfest as a Vybz Kartel lookalike.

Tastee turned me into a star and Spice turned me into a bigger star and big up my fada Vybz Kartel, yuh a mi daddy, as it was a crazy scene backstage the amount of white girls and foreigners who wanted photographs with me and asked for my autograph."
