Policeman dead after motor vehicle accident

A policeman is now dead, after he succumbed to injuries he sustained during a motor vehicle collision on Old Fort Bay Road in St Ann's Bay, St Ann, yesterday morning.

The deceased is Constable Kevin Williams, who was attached to the St James Police Division.

Reports are that about 3:38 a.m., Williams was driving along the road, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a fence, where he sustained serious head injuries.

After hearing a loud crash, residents summoned the St Ann's Bay police and Constable Williams was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.
