Having lost his job a few months ago, Sheldon Ferguson felt blessed to take home more than $24,000 worth of Grace products in a recent instalment of the Grace Cash and Dash, held at MegaMart in Kingston.

In addition, Sheldon and his partner, Coleen Williams, won a cash prize of $50,000. The couple received this handsome package as they were the winners of Riddle No. 9, posed in week nine of the Grace Cash and Dash.

Sheldon, a jack of all trades experienced in carpentry, plumbing, gardening, and masonry, shared that he had been at home unemployed for a few months and had first seen the Grace Cash and Dash Promotion on TV.

nice feeling

"This is the best thing Grace ever do!" exclaimed Sheldon. "This is a great promotion! To enter something for the first time and win is such a nice feeling, and we have a baby on the way, so we are just very happy to have won."

In addition to Sheldon and Coleen, there have been eight other lucky winners of $50,000 cash, one of whom took home an additional $40,833 worth of Grace products from their shopping Dash.

The Grace Cash and Dash Promotion had its final weekly draw on Wednesday, July 17. Persons may, however, continue to submit their entries for the Grand Prize Draw of $250,000, plus a shopping Dash from each of the country's 14 parishes. This will be conducted on TVJ on July 31.

There is no limit to the number of times a person can enter. The deadline for these submissions is Tuesday, July 30, at noon.

To enter for the Grand Prize Draw, persons must submit their contact details, the answer to the final riddle (Riddle No. 13 - What gets wetter and wetter the more it dries?), and at least five Grace labels.

Entrants must put their parish and Riddle #13 on the outside of the envelope. Entries are to be dropped off at GraceKennedy's headquarters located at 73 Harbour Street in Kingston, any Rapid H&L True Value Store, Agro-Grace (Brown's Town, St Ann), or any Grace factory.

Grace's Chicken Vienna Sausages is the product of the week for Riddle No. 13. Between June and December of this year, 10 cents from the sale of Grace Vienna Sausages will go towards the Shelly-Ann Pocket Rocket Foundation.

"We wanted to give back to our customers to show them that we really appreciate their continued support of our products. Grace Foods is committed to maintaining a high level of quality that is truly Jamaican," remarked Tania Christie, marketing manager of Grace Foods and Services.
