The creator and operator of the popular dancehall promotional website, Dancehallworld.net, Jouval 'Stamma' Morgan is reaping the success of his brainchild as he said the site has been attracting positive reviews.

The website provides an Internet radio page, lyrics, mixtapes, music videos, viral videos, news, rhythms and singles, among other things.

The site was launched in 2011 to a lukewarm response but has since transitioned into a prioritised webpage for dancehall updates.

"Artistes love the work I do. They see it as the avenue for helping them to reach the targeted amount of fans and in a timely manner. I have had artistes contacting me telling me they love the work I do. The same can be said about some producers," Morgan remarked.

The St Mary native who holds a bachelor's in finance and banking from a joint programme with Brown's Town Community College and The University of Technology (UTech) told THE WEEKEND STAR that the page aims to provide a professional forum for everything dancehall to keep persons in the know.

"Information is updated everyday. Gathering content is done by both primary data collection and also secondary data collection ... . Primary meaning I link the music producers, managers and publicist directly to gather information and material from them about an artiste," Morgan said.

"Secondary meaning I get content from other websites or via my email from distributors and associates of artiste."

Interestingly, Morgan asserted that he is tasked with monitoring the site by himself.

"No, I don't employ a team since the inception of the website in June 2011. All the success has come through the hands of I Jouval Morgan," he said.

He emphasised that the professional layout, admirable organisational skills and due diligence are the attributes that have contributed to boosting the website's image.

"Before the first post was made on DancehallWorld.net, I did my research, made links with who wanted to at that time, did more research with physical dancehall lovers, and all persons I knew on the Internet that had a passion for dancehall music and did more research ".

"This research was done to find out what does a person that loves dancehall want in a website that strives to cover every aspect surrounding dancehall/reggae music. Interesting, I found that that the average dancehall enthusiast doesn't really want detailed music and concise information about dancehall, they simply want to get the music on their laptop, iPod on phone, no matter if is tagged correctly or not," he added.

"Dancehall World always ensures that our music is well tagged. So, for example, a disc jock will always have his music library well together and tagged. For example, we only take news from creditable and varied sources, so that any bit of information on the website is very credible. I have received compliments from persons worldwide regarding information that I provide on the website, as it is always on time and precise."

More importantly, Morgan highlighted his website's commitment to providing dancehall content exclusively.

"The Dancehall World Facebook page now has reached a milestone with 18,000 likes. These persons subscribed to the page for everything dancehall/reggae, and this is what they will exclusively receive."
