According to her mantra, 'All that appears isn't always what is'. however, this time around it appears multi-talented writer, producer, actress and radio jock, ZJ Sparks, has found herself in the winners' circle.

This after repelling strong competition to nab the 'Female Disc Jock of the Year' honours at the just concluded Music Industry Achievers (M.I.A) award show.

Despite adulation from her peers, the ZIP FM personality, whose given name is Tricia Spence, was afforded no time to bask in the moment due to a hectic professional schedule.

Last Sunday, patrons at the swanky Reggae Sumfest Beach Party held at the Aquasol Beach, Montego Bay, were treated to an energised set as the frizzy-haired zip jock unravelled her musical artistry and kept the predominantly international audience thoroughly entertained.

The ZIP jock is expected to depart the island this weekend for Trinidad & Tobago's Military Museum located in Chaguaramas. The upcoming assignment will mark her second visit to the twin island republic in a month.

Previously, she was one of the headliners that kick-started the Summer Concert Series at the world-renowned Zen Night Club, Port of Spain. this was followed by stints in Grenada, and St Croix where a rollicking good time was had by all.

Later this month, Sparks is confirmed to appear at a number of high-profile events namely: 12 to 12 Beach Party, Negril Live and Wet Flex Beach Party among others.
