Hamma Fridaze hits hard with delight

ZJ Wah Wa enjoyed a successful Hamma Fridaze second anniversary party, which was held on Friday at Sabina Park's Kingston Cricket Club in downtown Kingston.

The much talked-about event lived up to its billing, as a large-sized crowd gathered inside the spacious venue lending their support to the increasingly famous Zip Jock. The only real flaw was a premature end to an event shaping up to be a complete stellar.

However, featuring also were local music celebrities Konshens, Baby Cham, I-Octane and Bounty Killer who, along with I-Octane, brought the place into frenzy with blistering yet brief performances.

That, coupled with smart selecting from Little Shabba, ZJ Chrome, ZJ Wah Wa and Bredda from Lover's Choice, added to the night's entertainment, though gully-affiliated selector Boom Boom never got the chance at the turntables.

As promised, patrons entered to a gold carpet treatment, however, not all adhered to the stipulated gold and black dress code.

Hamma Fridaze has had many ups and downs throughout its two years, but the promoter said things couldn't have gone any better.

"The turnout is tremendous. I can't start thanking all of who come and showed their support. Lots of challenges have been experienced throughout the two years, but tonight has shown me that they are all worth it," Wah Wa said.

He paid special attention to the unwavering support of sponsors. "This event would not be where it is today without our sponsors. So, I want to use this time to acknowledge their support which has been the biggest difference," he added.

Hamma Fridaze, which is normally kept on Wildman Street in the community of Spoilers, has been sponsored mainly by Guinness along with Smirnoff Ice, Khaotic Entertainment, Container Saturdaze Crew and NickFotoworks.com.
