The body of a man was yesterday discovered lying along the road in the community of Bogue in St Elizabeth.

The man has been identified as 23-year-old Odane Mendez. Reports are that the police were summoned after residents reported the discovery of the body.

On their arrival, Mendez's body was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head

The police are now investigating the incident.
