The Spring Mount police seized two firearms and several rounds of ammunition in Village district, Johns Hall in St James this morning.

They included:

One shotgun

One Norinco pistol

Twenty-five 9mm rounds

Nineteen 12-gauge cartridges

Reports are that, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., lawmen were on an operation in the area when a premises was searched and the weapons and ammunition found. No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Investigations continue.
